(Portuguese Green Soup)
500 g of portuguese kale/ tronchuda cabbage
2 Lt water
450 g potato(es)
1 pork smoked sausage
1 spoon of salt
2 dl olive oil
1. In a medium pot, put the water and the salt. As it starts to boil throw in the peeled and sliced potatoes.
2. after cooked they are minced and thrown back to the pot, add the sliced kale after being washed 2 or three times
3. Add the olive oil and let boil for two or three minutes without the tap so the kale can keep its traditional green colour.
4. Serve in a bowl adding a slice of sausage to give flavour. Eat with traditional Portuguese corn or brown bread.
